We are looking for volunteers who can make Liberation School run smoothly. Here are several roles you can take on:
Community teachers
We are looking for educators, parents, retirees and community members who can teach Liberation School workshops with a culturally responsive lens. We are especially looking for Math, Science, and bilingual Spanish teachers. We will have an orientation to guide you through this process.
Healers and mental health professionals
We are looking for volunteer healers, mental health professionals, social workers, and licensed therapists who can offer 1:1 sessions, group sessions, workshops for youth and parents. We are especially looking for licensed therapists and social workers to provide sessions for youth and parents looking for socioemotional support.
Tech/Admin/Comms Support
Support with Zoom, digital security, and all online tech that makes Liberation Schools possible. We will train you on how to do this.
Support with the logistics that makes Liberation School possible such as coordinating with community teachers, follow-up with youth and families, etc.
Support with communications and outreach to parents, youth, and families to learn, know about, and register for Liberation School. We will train you how to do this.
